Our Mission

The Imagine House mission is to support and guide those in recovery as they create healthy lifestyles, heal relationships, and learn a new way to live. We accomplish this by implementing accountability, community, service, and fellowship in a positive, structured environment.

Our founders and staff know firsthand the challenges of early recovery. Each member’s recovery significantly benefited from a healthy, structured transitional living experience.

Testimonials

  • “As a person in long-term recovery, I look back on the choices I made in early recovery and by far one of the most significant, positive choices was choosing a highly structured sober living home. It taught me so much about fellowship, community, and recovery. As well as eased, educated, and supported me as I faced a new world without the use of negative tools and substances. Lastly, I learned how I could help others, which is a huge part of my life to this very day.”

    -Christopher O.

  • “Sober living has been an integral part of my recovery and life. It provides accountability and community. There is always someone to talk to who gets what I am going through.”

    -John A.

  • “When I left rehab, I had no experience living sober. I needed people to show me how to live life a new way. In sober living, for the first time, I met folks who were trying to repair their lives and made friends who had no connection to my using. Sober living was the step I needed between rehab and real life. It gave me space and stability that I wouldn’t have had if I had returned home.

    -Eric T.

  • “One of the best decisions I made for my growth in recovery, was entering sober living. I was surrounded by others who had the same goals of continued sobriety and success in life. The supportive community was a vital part of creating a strong foundation. The structure and accountability I learned still play an integral part of my life today. Plus, we had so much fun!”

How has Imagine House helped in your recovery plan?

Availability. The amount of help with issues involving recovery was greatly offered, and often. It was the resources. If the managers were unavailable, I could have called the owners. Everyone was available.

What do you see as the strengths of Imagine House?

Camaraderie, unwavering sternness of leadership, always honest and did’t waiver on what leadership thinks what needs to be done for recovery.

What are some of your favorite times while living here?

Coming home at night and hanging with my roommate. Having deep, meaningful conversations with roommates. We became concerned for each other.

Would you recommend us to others?

    Yes and I have.

    Why are you moving out?

To live with family, I think therapy has helped and I have set better boundaries with my wife.

    Any final thoughts?

This was critical and necessary for my recovery, and the only option in NOLA if you are serious about sober living. For the money, the return is priceless, considering all the resources available including the connections you make in the recovery community are really stressed. I now have a good new group of friends in this community. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
